Who We Are

We’re Gina and Matt, a husband and wife running a small, family-owned business in North Carolina. We’ve spent more than four years in ecommerce and more than a year becoming thoroughly obsessed with mahjong.

As players and shoppers, we understand the excitement of finding a beautiful tile set, a mat that feels just right, or a good deal on something you’ve been wanting. We also know that comparing products can take work. Prices vary, descriptions leave questions unanswered, and an attractive photograph doesn’t tell you everything about quality.

We created MahjongBargains to make that process easier.

Our goal is to help you find worthwhile deals, understand what you’re buying, and care for the things you already own. Alongside coupons, sales, and shopping discoveries, we publish practical guides covering materials, construction, authenticity, cleaning, and storage. We want the site to be useful whether you’re buying your first set or adding something special to a table you already love.

We’re also the family behind NouveauMahj and Sages of the Past (SagesMahjong), where our focus is high-quality, distinctive products that inspire and endure. You’ll see advertisements for our products here, and we want that connection to be clear.

MahjongBargains also features other brands and retailers. A useful resource should help you find what suits your needs, taste, and budget, wherever that purchase takes you. You never need to buy from us for this site to have done its job.

We’re building the kind of resource we appreciate as players: helpful, welcoming, and worth returning to.
